DIne and Shop Around Town

There’s nothing better than a light lunch and some drinks after a day of shopping in Newport Beach. But, I am not talking about the café down the way from your favorite boutique; no I am talking about those wonderful cafes that are right there, in eye sight of the home floor tchotchkes and just steps away from that perfect dress you’ve been coveting. Yes! Those cafés, like Mariposa in Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales 59th & Lex Café, Nordstrom’s Café Bistro and of course the free standing location of Tommy Bahamas.

The savviest of stylista’s stop by this third floor café after shopping not just to rest their tired Louboutin stilettos’d feet or sit next to the Newport Beach who’s who but to enjoy a wonderful menu of upscale contemporary cuisine, an ice tea for a boost of energy or a chilled glass of wine to help ease all the money they just spent: and of course let’s not forget the to-die-for pop-over’s and strawberry jam that accompany your meal.

Whether you’re dining-in or taking-out, the 59th & Lex Café at Bloomingdale’s has got you covered. Situated on the First Floor of Bloomingdale’s, the Café features a heated patio that is the best spot on The Island to see-and-be-seen. Named after the famous address of the original Flagship Bloomingdale’s department store in NY, the Café serves up grilled-burgers, hot entrees, and daily specials as well as salads, sandwiches and desserts that are perfect fuel for the power shoppers and the casual diners.

Café Bistro, Nordstrom Fashion Island

cafe Bistro Nordstroms

Nordstrom Café Bistro is a stylish and comfortable restaurant featuring a contemporary American interpretation of bistro cuisine. The display kitchen provides a perfect stage to watch their chefs prepare their bold menu. They focus on great appetizers, big salads, sandwiches and specialize in brick oven pizzas, entrees and house made desserts. Complementing the menu is a well chosen multi-regional wine and craft beer list that would rival any free standing bistro. Guests can choose to sit in the dining room or enjoy a drink or meal on our spacious patio.

The upscale restaurant features a fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and innovative new dishes as the development kitchen for their other 14 locations.
